Yeah that’s right. I made an uber good dinner tonight. And it’s very waist friendly. SO, I’ll share.
4 Tbsp soy sauce
1 Tbsp ginger – grated, fresh
6 garlic cloves – minced
1 tsp. Asian Sesame Oil
1/2 tsp. crushed red pepper flakes
1/2 pound beef ( I used one beef round tip steak…)
1 tsp. cornstarch
1 Tbsp. vegetable oil
4 c. broccoli florets
throw all this in a ziploc, and refrigerate at least an hour. THEN take it out (save the marinade juice!!!) and slice it thin, thin, thin. THEN add water to the marinade remains to make about 1/2 cup. Put in 1 tsp. cornstarch and set aside.
Meanwhile, your heating up a skillet (or a wok if your blessed enough to have one.) Add the beef slices, and heat until the meat loses the pink. Take out the meat, and throw in the broccoli. (You can also add some celery, or green onion, or whatever else floats your boat) Fry up the broccoli for a few minutes (3-4) then cover it, and steam for 1 minute.
Next, throw the meat back in there and add the marinade juice mix. Stir until it gets thick, and voila! Done.
Serve over rice.
P.S. It’s yummy. Promise. OOh! And it is very cost-friendly. Seriously. I used one steak. Everything else was already in my pantry! Score.
